The Deli

We opened our first deli in 2006 with a commitment to buy locally where ever possible. Over 70% of our produce is sourced within 30 miles of the shop and we tend to work with smaller producers and stock produce that is not available in supermarkets.

Where we can not source locally we work with specialist importers. We use Brindisa who are based in Borough Market in London who import without doubt some of the very best Spanish products available including Manchego cheese, quince paste, chorizo sausage and olives. We use a specialist Italian importer for artisan product including spelt and nettle organic pastas, speck, salami and traditional Italian sweet and savoury biscuits.

Our product range includes Side Oven Bakery’s amazing organic muesli’s and cordials and Yorkshire dales granola. Our cheeses include Judy Bells Shepherds purse cheeses, Swaledale goat’s cheeses and Wensleydale Creamery traditional cheeses. We stock Glenroyd organic chutneys,York preserve jams and McKenzies smoked fishes.
